Kytera’s unique technology enables seniors to age in their homes by developing a contextual activity analysis system.
Kytera’s system dynamically learns the activity patterns of the daily routine, automatically detects distress situations, and alerts caregivers.
What I did:
In a close collaboration it was decided to ensure that Kytera's app interface maximizes control, comfort and clarity in case of distress and communicate with caregivers in the most relevant and consistent way possible.
Inspiration for the look and feel of the product was taken from consumer medical devices. Soft, clean lines make for a friendly, reassuring looking device, reducing anxiety for caregivers in a stressful situation. An accessible user interface allows easy monitoring in real time.
Analysing Goals
We worked together with Kytera team to design solutions that meet their needs. We looked out for shaping people’s personal experience of wellbeing to working with large systems of healthcare professionals.

Ira designed the UX & UI of our caregivers mobile application - intended for family members to get valuable information about their elderly loved ones in normal times and in emergencies.
Ira is very professional as a mobile application designer, but in addition she has deep understanding about the product as a whole, and they way it should interact with its users. Ira is opinionated, she brings to the table her experience and intelligent views, and her work is efficient - she has the "startup DNA" in getting right to the point effectively.
We enjoy working with Ira, and it's my pleasure to recommend Ira as UX & UI designer.
CONSUMER APP
The app helps caregivers maximise control of care in a simple and comfort way.
It was very important to show that we start to take care about our customer the moment the system is connected and not just under alerts.
installation app
The app walks user through the setup and provides control over the settings
